The International Foundation Programme (IFP) is a great way to progress onto an undergraduate degree in the UK, and with so many options at Roehampton, what will you choose?

If you study the IFP, you will have 2 or 3 terms building up your English language skills as well as your academic competence and subject knowledge.

Your choice of course depends on which IFP Pathway you study:

  • Business: leads strictly to business-related degrees only
  • Generic: range of non-business subjects from science and humanities to dance and education

Business degrees

If you have chosen the business pathway, you will be pleased to hear that there are no additional entry requirements for any of the business courses – all you need is the successful completion of your IFP.

The Roehampton Business School has a ‘business ready’ approach that aims to produce graduates who will excel in a business environment. The courses offered aim to give students the knowledge and critical insight to make informed decisions, solve business problems ethically and become the kind of graduates who can add value to organisations and society.

Every course includes a career mentoring scheme, an extensive range of employability events, the student-led Business Society and the opportunity to forge links with employers such as Marks and Spencer, Haymarket Media Ltd, Santander, SABMiller and KPMG.

Courses include an ACCA accredited Accounting degree and a range of Business Management pathways to International Business and Marketing.

Non-Business degrees

A Generic pathway offers you a range of different subjects, some of which have additional entry requirements other than successful completion of your IFP.

Dance

The University of Roehampton is ranked number 1 for dance research in the UK (Research Excellence Framework 2014) and has a global reputation, meaning that graduates leave with excellent career prospects, so if you want a career in dance, this is a great place to start.

However, if applying to dance courses, there may be an additional requirement to attend a dance audition.
