Jo is a lecturer in business and finance at both under and postgraduate levels. Her areas of expertise include Financial Decision Making & Management, Introduction to Accounting, Banking & Finance, Credit Analysis, Corporate Finance, Financial Derivatives, and Portfolio & Risk Management.
She is also a lecturer on the national Advanced Diploma in Accounting & Finance (ADAF) curriculum, part of the globally-recognised qualification of the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants (ACCA). In addition, she teaches bank accreditation courses in Corporate Finance, Financial Analysis, and Syndicated Lending, and is qualified to teach English as a Foreign Language.
After graduating from university with a degree in modern languages, Jo enjoyed a long-standing career in international banking, spanning both the loan and the bond markets, working for a number of major international banks in London, Paris, and New York. She also ran and was Editor of a real-time financial news service, covering the loan and bond markets across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa as well as North America.
Jo also provides freelance training in Credit & Banking at Moody’s Analytics, concentrating on accounting in business, debt and equity financing, leveraged and asset finance, decision making, financial derivatives, and corporate finance.Back to Academics
